Team — 5.6
Absolutely outclassed in the first half hour, the Quakes somehow managed to get to halftime with a lead. Manager Mikael Stahre switched to a back five at the break, and while this led to some chances on the counter attack, the walls eventually fell and the Union equalized. The Quakes did not play particularly well, and a point on the road will be a welcome result.
Tarbell — 5.8 (three-match average: 5.3)
Made some very nice saves to keep the Quakes in the game, but also kept them under pressure with some truly terrible distribution, particularly form open play.
Lima — 6.5, MOTM (three-match average: 6.1)
Certainly the Quakes best player in the first half, and had a very good game overall. His decision making on both sides of the ball was exceptional. However, he was beaten and allowed an easy cross, giving the Union their goal. He also seemed to tire late on after being subjected to a lot of pressure.
Cummings — 5.4 (three-match average: 4.9)
Steady for the most part, and seemed to play better when the team was under siege and not trying to play out of the back as much. His red card at the end of the match was moronic, plain and simple.
Quintana — 5.4 (three-match average: 5.2)
Limited his mistakes, although could not distribute well enough to help the midfield keep possession.
Qwiberg — 4.7 (three-match average: NA)
Not a good start to his MLS career. Beaten regularly both in the air and on the dribble, and offered very little going forward with poor crossing and sloppy passing.
Eriksson — 5.8 (three-match average: 6.0)
Did not play great overall, with some aimless passing and errant deliveries on set pieces. He also allowed a free header on a corner that CJ Sapong should have done better with. But when he had a chance, he took his goal really well with his weaker foot.
Jungwirth — 6.5 (three-match average: 6.1)
Had a very difficult first half, as he could just not stop giving the ball away. Dropped into the defense in the second half, he showed the aggressive commanding presence that he gave all last year in that position.
Godoy — 6.1 (three-match average: 5.7)
Did better than his midfield partners in controlling the possession, and was the fulcrum of the move that got the Quakes their goal.
Vako — 5.5 (three-match average: 5.9)
Very much a mixed bag. Showed flashes of skill and creativity, but also had too many giveaways, and was too selfish more than once on counter attacks.
Hoesen — 5.5 (three-match average: 5.6)
Frustrated and isolated often, but did well when allowed space to run as long as he did not dwell too long on the ball.
Wondolowski — 5.6 (three-match average: 5.6)
Had relatively limited but positive involvement in the attack, and played midfield most of the second half. Was too slow to track Bedoya’s run on the goal.

This is not the first game Vako has been selfish. Although he has done well I feel it has cost us more points than he has made. I hope someone mentions that this is a team sport. No player on his own is stronger than a team that plays universally.
