Tommy Thompson Scores 1 Goal And 1 Assist in Sac Republic’s 4-0 Victory Against Timbers 2

Earthquakes midfielder Tommy Thompson continued his excellent run of play on loan with Sacramento Republic Saturday night against Timbers 2 FC. Thompson started and played 85 minutes in Sacramento, and helped create the first goal of the game just minutes in.

Later in the second half, Thompson brought down a long ball with a beautiful first touch, then dribbled it past the Timbers goalkeeper and netted his first goal of the night, giving Sacramento a 3-0 lead.

Thompson had another chance soon after where he took on multiple defenders, but the shot went just wide.

Not a bad night for the 21 year old.
