Jahn and Thompson Stay in Portland with Sac Republic to Face Timbers 2

After the Quakes 3-1 loss at Portland on Saturday, Adam Jahn and Tommy Thompson stayed a while longer in the Rose City with San Jose’s USL affiliate Sacramento Republic FC. The Republic took on Timbers 2, and ended up losing 1-0. The goal came on a bad turnover at the beginning of the second half by the Republic back line. Jahn and Thompson were subbed in at halftime, and immediately made an impact on the game. They created several chances for the team – here are a few of them:

Thompson’s through ball here played Jahn in on goal, and Jahn touched it past the keeper. However, the goal was unfortunately called back as Jahn was in an offside position.

Tommy Thompson attempted a bicycle kick here, and it nearly went in. A Timbers 2 defender was able to clear it off the line.

Thompson nearly scored again, but Timbers 2 GK was able to get a touch on the ball. Jahn tried to poke the loose ball into the net, but ended up catching the goalkeeper and received a red card.
