Colorado Notes and Injuries
Last Year — 37 points, 10th place in the Western Conference (missed playoffs)

Predicted Starting Lineup
While manager Dom Kinnear may not have his first choice XI available or even set in his mind yet, he did indicate that he would give the starters more of the minutes in last week’s final preseason friendly against the New York Cosmos. With that in mind, r/SJEarthquakes user u/mjbatt put out a likely starting XI. The backline of Francis, Goodson, Bernardez, and Wynne remains unchanged from the end of last season. Anibal Godoy will be nearly undroppable if he plays at the level he did last season, as is true for Chris Wondolowski. Dawkins should be ready to slide back in to the lineup for the first time since 2012, and Quintero should get a start for his debut with MPG and Cato both out. Innocent is available for selection, but hasn’t played 90 minutes since April 2015 and seems unlikely to start after seeing limited preseason minutes.
