Saprissa CB Andres Imperiale has a “good possibility” of signing with San Jose

29 year old center back Andres Imperiale has a “good possibility” of signing with the San Jose Earthquakes, and hopes to sign with the team as soon as possible, per a source. Imperiale spent time mentoring and playing with once San Jose homegrown-hopeful Ramon Martin del Campo with Saprissa in Costa Rica, but has announced that he will not be returning to the team in 2016.

The Argentine has spent the majority of his career playing in South and Central America, but has also spent some time playing overseas in Cyprus. Given the teams lack of depth at the centerback position, Imperiale would be an ideal signing at the right price.
